Kate Guilfoyle

Overview

Kate was admitted to the Bar in 1992 and has practised in a wide variety of jurisdictions, including general commercial and trade practices, constitutional law, equity, criminal and administrative law. Prior to her admission to the Bar, she was an advocate solicitor with the Aboriginal Legal Service, practising in criminal law before many different courts, including Children’s Court matters. Kate then served as an Associate to Justice Mary Gaudron, in the High Court of Australia. She is the author of several published papers on legal matters. She has a BA LLB from the University of New South Wales.
