Louise Beange was called to the Bar in 2018.
Louise appears regularly in New South Wales and Commonwealth Courts and Tribunals. She has appeared both led and unled in matters ranging from personal injury and professional indemnity to commercial law.
Louise practices in a wide range of areas, with particular experience in Royal Commissions and Inquiries. She has appeared for respondent parties at the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Before coming to the Bar, she was a Senior Legal Officer for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. Louise has acted as Counsel Assisting to the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Drug ‘Ice’ and the icare and SICG Act 2015 Independent Review.
Before coming to the Bar, Louise worked as a solicitor with King & Wood Mallesons on matters ranging from corporate regulatory investigations and class actions to contractual disputes.
Louise also accepts regular briefs in pro bono civil and discrimination matters from the Bar’s Legal Assistance Referral Scheme and other legal assistance programs.
Louise graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons).
