As part of 13th Floor St James Hall’s commitment to professional development, the floor offers a reading room to a newly admitted barrister for a period of 12 months. It is a pre-requisite of the readership that one tutor be from 13th Floor St James Hall.

Miles accepts briefs across all areas of law. Prior to being called to the bar, Miles practised as a solicitor at Gilbert + Tobin and Minter Ellison for seven years across a variety of litigious areas including employment and industrial, administrative law, intellectual property and competition and regulatory. Miles has also been a sessional lecturer in administrative law at the University of Wollongong.
Prior to being called to the bar in 2019, Talal worked in smaller suburban practices. During his time he was exposed to a number of litigious matters from a range of practice areas. Talal has a diverse practice at the bar and will accept briefs across all areas of law. Talal appears in all metropolitan, regional, country and interstate courts.
